  • Great Story Lacking Some Fundamental Elements...

I was looking for some of the most significant events in Batman's history in the form of TPBs and of course his first meeting with the Joker was on the top spots of my list. That's how I came across with "The Man Who Laughs", it's definitely a very interesting story that sets the base for what it would become one of the biggest rivalries in comic book history. As such, I guess I expected much more from the novel, I wanted their first meeting to have more meaning and for me it was little quick and of little significance. It's true that all the elements that make The Joker Batman's greatest foe are there, the insanity is there and also his twisted personality but I believe the story lacked substance in detailing how The Joker would become Batman's ...

  • Very well writing book with excellent art. A+

Ed Brudaker comes through again with an excellent Joker story. The art is excellent as well. Doug Mahnke and Patrick Zircher give the Dark Knight an edgy and dark apperance. Great book for any fan of Batman and the Joker.
