    Just the best popper around.

    The popcorn you get from using the Whirley Pop is a hundred times better than microwave. It pops it up nice & fluffy & crispy. And the popcorn doesn't shrink up when you add a topping like butter, margarine or any of the buttery toppings by Reddenbacher or Colonel Seasons. It works best with the pre measured packets that includes oil, corn & salt. Just the best popper you can find. Reasonably priced & does a great job. We actually wore out the first one we had after using it for about 20 yrs. You can't go wrong with the Whirley Pop.

    Unimpressed with the Stove Top Corn Popper

    Turning mechanism has plastic gears which've started to slip/stick & make turning the handle hard, leaving more un-popped corn. Metal gears will not slip, turning will be smoother, more popped corn and popper will last long time.

    Really Super Great and Fun Popcorn Popper!!!

    This is really great! It takes a few times to get the fire just right; too low, it does not pop good, too high it tends to burn some. On my stove I set it to '8'. And I found 3 or 4 teaspoons of olive oil in the pan is the best tasting oil to use. I found that if I shake it around a little as it's getting hot it seems to bathe the oil all over the kernels; -then turn the crank slowly while it pops. It should pop like crazy. If not, the flame is too low. Also if you let it sit after done for a couple of mins, it is crispier. Then it comes out really good. -I love this thing!
