Last Man Standing (VHS, 1997)
Neat Bruce Willis movie about two Prohibition-Era gangs of liquor runners who have set up on opposite ends of a dusty, dirty, South Texas town near the Mexico border. One gang Irish, the other Italian, and both from Chicago, they share a sort of truce. That all ends when Willis just comes passing through. The premise is the same as the old Clint Eastwood movie, "Fistful of Dollars". Willis plays the middle in this 1930's shoot'em-up. Although enjoyable, these sort of movies rely upon the viewer to be a little bit stupid! Both gangs know that Willis can't be trusted to not be working for the other gang, but these supposed "bad-asses" are both too stupid to just waste him. Instead he systematically kills them off - both gangs, and they just continue to go along with it. Willis is really fast ... The problem is, every time he gets into a gunfight with either side, he pulls both pistols - both 8-shot pistols - and fires between twenty and thirty times without reloading. Also, he seems to have unlimited bullets and loaded clips with him always! It always amazes me how the good guy, with only a pistol, shoots and kills everyone in the room, when they all have machine guns, firing 400-600 rounds per minute, but they never hit him. Then, when he finally does get hit, or beaten to within an inch of death, remarkably is OK after just a little while. Also, this movie also has Michael Imperioli, you know, Christopher from the Sopranos. He comes across as an idiot, with his rage and indignitation. . .really poor acting.

Last Man Standing Pure action, Adrenaline, excitement, oh... and Bruce Willis. Last Man Standing follows Bruce Willis as he shoots first and asks questions later. This is the most action packed Willis film I've seen, and if you love action Last Man Standing is for you.
