    A Book Worth Reading

    I first came across this book at my local library and checked it out. After reading it, I knew I wanted a copy for my personal library. I've never read a book that deals with the subject of dying and how attitudes have changed toward it over the last 50 - 60 years. Some people say this book is morbid and depressing. I disagree. Dying is a part of life that we all need to accept. This book helped me develop a better perspective on the subject of death as well as how modern medicine has helped prolong life for both the good and the bad, depending on each individual's situation. I found this book fascinating and well worth reading.

    This book is about death. As a nurse with over 20 years in Hospice I still found it disturbing and distressing. Maybe others will feel differently but it was a painful read for me.
