The story of how Bob, the ginger cat, and James, the Covent Garden busker, transformed each other's lives has become a phenomenon: a feline urban fable. Throughout James' tale - their shared need for emotional and physical warmth; the hairy highs and lows on the streets; the growing global love for this one man and his super-loyal cat - his deep, grateful fondness for Bob shines out., 'It was only a matter of time before a rubber stamp was used to autograph a book - but in Bob's case, we'll let him off. For Bob is the famous ginger moggy belonging to one-homeless busking Big Issue seller James Bowen, whose A STREET CAT NAMED BOB hit bookshop shelves last week. Fans, some bearing feline treats, queued around the block at James and Bob's first signing at the Islington branch of Waterstones last week. The purrfectly behaved Bob signed an impressive 180 books in just two hours. You gotta be kitten me.', 'an instantly bestselling memoir that, beside its heart-warming tale of their friendship, offers an insight into the injustice of life on the streets that's by turns frustrating and life-affirming.', It was only a matter of time before a rubber stamp was used to autograph a book - but in Bob's case, we'll let him off. The purrfectly behaved Bob signed an impressive 180 books in just two hours. You gotta be kitten me., I recently read a book that reminded me how amazing having a cat can be. A Street Cat Named Bob is the story of a homeless guy and his cat, Bob... It's a true story and ideal for anyone like me who's a bit mad when it comes to felines, This is a revealing glimpse of London's underbelly and the resourcefulness needed to survive it. Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

It's Well Much Worth the Effort, the Story of Love between a Cat and a Man

I'd been trying to find this book at the price I can afford and I found it the cheapest on eBay. There are many versions of the story with many titles between Bob, the stray ginger cat and James Owen, the drug addict Englishman. They help each other to face various life trials and tribulations and overcome them together successfully. James Bowen ends up writing many books on Bob and has become drug free. This is the version first published in paperback by Hodder & Stoughton, 2012. It's really quite a fascinating story. The story has gained worldwide recognition and is published into many titles and languages. It's also made into an awarded movie of the same name. The movie will also have the sequel coming out soon.

  • Top critical review

    strongly recommend for catlovers ONLY.

actually i was hoping to see the side of the homeless personm how the world sees him, and how he feels.. more about his inner world.. more about how he got there... the struggles and things like that.. i was very disapointed... cuz 80 % of the book is about the cat. anyway, if you are crazy about cats, you will love this book, seriously... its jsut for me was too much BOB.

  • Bob the streetcat is a Must!

A street cat named Bob is one of the best stories I've come across in awhile. It's heartwarming as it touches down on the real life struggle of recovering from addiction. Being based on a true story makes it even more appealing. I highly recommend this book and then watching the movie. The movie has a couple of amazing easter eggs to look out for that you will only understand the 2nd time around;-)
