    Great lens, buy yourself one is my advice.

    Hello, Mine is a Minolta version and there are also for most of the great camera branches. This is one of the best lenses I have ever had.Its probably better than my Minolta 70/210 beerkan lens. I like the way of zooming in and out. The lens is weights a lot but its in hand very stable. Try to find your own copy, a Tokina, Vivitar, Soligor, Sirius and of course the Cosina copy.     Minolta AF 300mm F4 APO HS G

    I bought the lens as a replacement to a Minolta AF 300mm f/2.8 APO. Whilst it was fairly quick in the AF department and the condition was excellent, it wasn't complete and the AF motor sounded rough. The lens is capable of capturing superb quality images with wonderful classic Minolta colours, but I had been spoiled with the 300mm 2.8, so sold it on. That said, I found my Sigma AF 100-300mm EX DG (IF) APO at least as good as the Minolta 300/4, and that being a zoom, was more versatile.     Get one!

    This is a new favorite lens. One of the better 300mm lenses, and this one goes down to 60! Close focusing is good enough considering it is a moderate telephoto. Works great on M43! Picture quality, size, value, don't see myself getting rid of this one.

    Excellent zoom range and quality size is compact than other 60-300 lens especially consider that price Bargain !!.

    do not buy this lens

    very bad item to buy,hard to auto focus , the AF is very very slow even under good lighting codition area ,and will not auto focus correct in darker area or when you shooting sport it just too slow to focus and not catch anything with it's auto focus , louseless lens.
