I was able to adjust the playback levels on my 33 year old Sony RX77ES cassette deck without much issue. Wouldn't have been possible without this test tape. Have no way of knowing if it's truly an in-spec reference tape, as it's not recorded on commercial grade machines, but it's the best we can do right now aside from pay through the nose for actual vintage tapes. Highly recommended!
