Les Miserables is the Epic French adaptation of the classic Victor Hugo tale of the small-time criminal Jean Valijean in 18th-Century France. Some reviews of DVDs with this cover indicate it is spoken in French with English subtitles. That is what I hoped for. Instead it is dubbed in English. Nevertheless, there are several scenes/details in this version that are not in other filmed versions
