Good Basic Toaster
No bells, no whistles, no pretty lights, no digital displays, nothing complicated to figure out: just simple to operate. Pretty much a legacy style machine that is devoid of any digital components: One dial to select the darkness and one button to push to "start." First few slices will be test slices to get a feel for where you want to set the level of browning. Mine actually browns quite nicely in the 2-3 range. In you want to make Charcoal Briquettes that setting must be around 8! {warning - doing that could set off the smoke detectors} Sorry no built in sensors to read your mind on the level of darkness you prefer today and translate that to the machine. In fact, this toaster doesn't have any sensors or bells either. It's all juts "interactive" or hands on operation. Only one ... No bells, no whistles, no pretty lights, no digital displays, nothing complicated to figure out: just simple to operate. If you start to burn something, the way to stop the heat element, and get the toast to pop up, is to turn the knob counter-clock-wise to zero '0'. That means you need to remember what setting it was on originally or play with the setting again to get back to the desire level of browning for next time. Got mine under $10 and so far has functioned as expected. It gets the job done. So if you want just toast this is for you! No PhD required, no degree in electronics needed to operate. Oh and unfortunately it has no Internet, WY-Fy or Bluetooth connections! No, you won't get a text on your cell phone that your toast is done! Yeah, bummer! You can't operate this toaster remotely and It doesn't know if something is burning so it can't warn you while at work! So with this toaster you'll have to stand in one place for a couple of minutes until the toast is done. But hey, it's so low-tech it doesn't block your phone's signal, so you can text your friend at the kitchen table as you wait!

disappointed. the openings are too small for the wider slices of bread. and if you only use one side at a time, it browns too much on one side and too little on the other side of the bread.

It last as does all things from China 3 months. Your hand keeps slipping off the knob which some idoit made in a down slope. It toast unevenly or burns. Now I have a second toaster. Different brand. Same problem. Junk.
