    These are the very best timers ever...

    I have used only this brand for many years. They last a very long time and have a long, long ring, which is very handy!!! Just remember to turn the dial all the way around then reset to the time you want and it will ring fairly loud and long. It is perfect for my husbands after dinner pills. Love Lux brand timers, they are far superior to all others.

    It's adiquate

    It's not very loud. Can't hear it from adjoining open air living room but I have adapted to it ok. It has a nice long ring.

    Easy to use.

    Negative: Has plastic gears and is made in China. Had one recently and the plastic gears broke in less than a year's use. Positive: On the contrary to the negative, one could get two- three years out of this timer with moderate use. The angled dial is easy to read from a standing position. The extra long ring is a plus for this product however. No batteries needed to operate is an added plus. Strictly mechanical.

    Nice Style & Loud Ringer!

    Because you can actually hear the ring tone when the timer goes off and also...... the ring lasts a little longer than other timers. My microwave timer & stove timer are so quiet, that I do not hear them if I am not right there in the kitchen, when the time is up!!

    This is the Lux Long-ring Timer

    Don't let the "Browne 1929" label distract you from the fact that this is the same modern mechanical timer as made under the Lux label for years. I now have two of them and they work just fine. The only problem is the fact that the four tiny rubber feet fall out easily and get lost. Based on my experience with the first unit I did preventative maintenance on the second by taking out the rubber feet easily with fingers and then applying a little rubber-based contact cement (Walthers GOO for model railroading) to the feet and the holes and letting dry overnight. Works like a charm.
