    Excellent textbook for learning Italian, recommend it.

    This textbook is used in many college Italian language classes, and the publisher has periodically revised it to keep it current. I like the basic material that is presented at the beginning, and the building block approach used in introducing new, advanced material as the chapters progress. The vignettes about Italian life, food, sports, etc., along with the photographs and drawings are interesting. The exercises follow nicely with the text, although I would prefer if the book would include the answers somewhere. Unless you are currently enrolled in a class or working with a private tutor and can have your answers checked, you don't know if you answered the questions/exercises correctly. This is also a comment on the student workbook, which has the same lack. However, I still highly ...

There are also supplementary materials (work book, lab manual, CDs) available for additional fees. A great book for anyone who is serious about learning the Italian language.

    All Around A Pleasant Learning Experience

    I bought this textbook as a requirement for my Italian 101 Class. I like how this textbook provides pictures that tie down with the learning process. It's kinda like the Rosetta Stone of Textbooks. The material is presented thoroughly and clearly. An audio track is also available to supplement the learning experience. 4/5 Stars.
