The timber bell has a pleasant ring. It's easy to fasten to your handlebars using the stretchy o-rings which come in two sizes to fit most handle bars. The bell switches on and off with a lever which lifts and lowers the ball. This makes it so you can not only silence it completely, but also adjust how loud it is. I love the sound of this bell but the band design doesn't hold it tight enough to the bars when you're sliding the locking mechanism on and off. The locking mechanism is really tight thus hard to engage so the whole bell will pivot on the bar when i try to activate the bell. Next time i'll go with the real clamp style bell...

These bells are the bomb. I love them. It lets other trail users know when you’re coming around a blind corner. Their specially useful when going downhill a little too fast were ringing a regular bell might be a little difficult because you’re just grabbing on. I have a lot of hikers thank me for having this dedicated bell because it notifies them of my presence early on. And the best part is I can turn the sound off when I load the bike in the car so I then don’t have to hear the jingling on my way home. That said, the jingling is pretty cool as it sounds like an ice cream truck or a Mexican frozen popsicle cart.These bells are the bomb. I love them. I love this bell. When I'm approaching people, I just turn it on and let my natural pedalling rhythm do the work, or I just shake the handlebars a little. After I pass them, I just turn it off. I'm amazed at how far ahead people hear it.

Since install of an Onyx hub(completely silent) readr wheel needed something for the blind corner trails to alert other riders and/or hikers. Pleasing tone unlike some bells and can be modulated or shut completely off with thumb when desired.
