This is a great book. There isn't much romance as I would like but the story is suspenseful and entertaining. The book's vocabulary and style of the writing is so good that you feels as though you were reading an adult novel and not a teenage novel. It is a fast read and the only thing I didn't enjoy was the fact that the author, Melissa DE LA Cruz, goes into too much detail about that the characters are wearing. Other then this minor set back the novel is a great read.This is a great book. There isn't much romance as I would like but the story is suspenseful and entertaining. Amazing intro to this new series...
I cannot begin to say how impressed I was by this book, and thus far, the entire Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz. If you're looking at this and hoping for it to be like Twiight, forget about it. This FAR SURPASSES anything from that aspect of the vampire genre, basically because both are targeted towards a younger audience than the average Paranormal Fantasy. These books especially, while marketed towards "young adults", are clearly not intended for anyone under the age of 16, and I mean that. I'm an adult, so marketing doesn't apply. This book is the debut of the series and it's incredibly fascinating. MDLC's take on vampires is unique, refreshing, very Gossip Girl meets Supernatural. It is chock full of facts, of which I will allow each reader to figure out for ... A Good Story
A friend recommended this book to me, so I picked it up. I believe it's aimed at a younger audience than myself, so I can't complain too much. It's easy to read and is pretty interesting. Yes, it's yet another vampire novel, but it does a pretty good job of telling you a different story than the others. I'd recommend it to any young adult who likes to read vampire books.

I enjoy reading romance/thrillers of all kinds. This series by Melissa De La Cruz was a good series to read. It flowed well from one book to the next and kept you in the story wanting to read the next book. As someone who not only reads all kinds of books, but writes as well, I really did enjoy this series and would recommend them to anyone wanting a good set of reading to keep on the shelf.
