    Replaced my old 20 year old unit with this one

    They say if it ain't broke, don't mess with it and that's certainly true with this food processor; this is an updated version of my old 11-Cup processor. I'd beaten up my old unit to the extent that the bowl was starting to come apart. I was looking around to just replace the bowl and realized for about the same money I could replace the whole unit. I do like that this comes with a blade holder because I was forever nicking my fingers on the blades loosely sitting in the draw. It's a win-win for me :) This unit is great with dry and wet ingredients. The newer unit is a little harder to situate the bowl because of the safety detents, but once I get in the habit of the newer unit it should become second nature. I would say that I prefer to use the mixer for making dough, but if you ...

    Product not perfect but useable.

    The product was advertised as used but there was no mention of cracks prior to purchase but I did not ask either. Interestingly enough the cracks were in exactly the same place as the cracks on the unit I was replacing. Nevertheless, the product was useable and replaced my unit, which was not useable. I thought the price was high for what I received but nonetheless, I have something I can use now, which was not the case before.

    YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

    I don't know what constitutes and excellent food processor, but this one is Very Good. It is is my very first food processor and I am delighted that I got this one. The machine is sturdy and has a powerful motor. It's easy to use even for an inexperienced cook like me. I'm just using the basic chopping blade so far and making small quantities for one. But with the multiple blades and the large processing jar it is versatile enough to grow with me as I experiment with preparing larger dishes. Easy to clean. Cuts prep time into nothing flat. You won't be disappointed.

    Perfect for thin slicing

    I have been wanting to slice certain veggies thinner than the 4mm disc that I have had for some time. This size was perfect for that, and I can now slice cabbage for cole slaw as thin as I prefer. It will be used often for that and I'm sure other veggies, too, when needed.

    Works, but not exactly the same as original bowl

    I purchased this bowl as a replacement. The fit is perfect and compatible with the 11 cup processor. The only change is that you can no longer twist the lid off with the bowl seated on the base like the original bowl. Not a huge problem but it takes some getting used to in the beginning and reduces the ease with which you can quickly take the lid off during processing.
