Un informe de Advanced Technologies and Projects (ATAP) de Google asegura que en 2025, una de cada diez personas conectará sus prendas a internet. El Centro de Investigación Económica Europea, en tanto, estima que este mercado representará unos 5.000 millones de euros en 2022, casi cinco veces más que en 2017. Esto, claro, en el marco de un consumo de ropa que parece no tener límites. Según la Fundación Ellen MacArthur, la producción mundial de vestimenta pasó de 50.000 millones de prendas en 2000 a 100.000 millones en 2015. Solo en España cada persona gasta unos 450 euros anuales en este rubro, de acuerdo con lo dicho por Gema Gómez, directora de Slow Fashion Next. Sin embargo, después de casi dos décadas de desarrollos, estas tecnologías vestibles, a las que no hay que confundir con los smartwatch ni con los Google Glass, parecen restringidas a consumidores sofisticados, dispuestos a pagar bastante más por ellas. La T-shirt luminiscente, unisex, de CuteCircuit (292 euros) es un ejemplo y el vestido Noctulia, hecho con la tela de fibra óptica Lumigram (12.999 euros), es otro. La industria textil, al igual que muchas otras, tiene por delante el desafío de ser más amigable con el medio ambiente (el poliéster, derivado de la petroquímica, es la fibra más utilizada) y en 2020 esto parece ser una prioridad. Sin embargo, no deberá perder de vista los proyectos con visión de futuro que plantean las nuevas telas emparentadas con la tecnología. Producirlas de manera masiva para reducir sus costos y comunicar sus ventajas de forma más eficiente constituyen otro desafío. Porque manejar el móvil con solo mover el cuerpo, mandar un abrazo a distancia, lograr que los hipoacúsicos sientan la música en el cuerpo, usar camisas que no se manchan o, incluso, crear nuestra propia ropa con fibras en spray son proyectos que se están haciendo realidad a una velocidad inimaginable. Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅....
