    Great read. Well worth buying

I am a big county fan of old country music and the artists from the 40' 50's 60's. To me Johnny has always been a great singer and a talented writer. This book didn't pull any punches. He did not try to gloss over the bad things that he went through. It was a book that I had a hard time putting down.

  • Top critical review

Johnny was known for singing, not book-writing.

Worked: The amazing one-page story about the time he and June met a mentally challenged young boy at a church service. Cash describes a true miracle! Needs improvement: Johnny claims that wife June is amazing and inspiring. Yet he demonstrates very little about when and why and how that is true. I needed June to be more clearly and strongly included.

  • Awesome book! Worth the read in my opinion

This autobiography takes you right into the mind of Johnny Cash himself, it's authentic thoughts and interesting details make you feel like you know the man, or really wish you had. There was so much about him I never knew, very intriguing. And the very few paragraphs that maybe bore you? (I just don't know some of the people he wrote about as I wasn't alive then!) You keep reading because you just want to learn more about what made this man tick.

  • Worth the money!

I really liked this book! More of a spiritual journey then a telling of a life story! Still made for a great read! Would tell anybody who is thinking about this book to give it a try! You wont be dissapointed! Johnny Cash is a legend on sheet music, as well as the paper of a book! You will like this book if you want to be taken on a journey of spiritual awakening......and who doesnt like that?
