The Civil War-Is to the point & all encompassing
Great documentary-if you like history and are sick of dry monotonous presentation styles-with boring views of the past this series will make you feel a part of our heritage. In depth perspective of the many factors that motivated the conflict. I did not like high school history classes but these type of films makes one want to dig in and learn. The series was a complimentary addition to the Civil War Journal I & II which was also an interesting and enjoyable set. Ken Burns does a great job as usual: if you like his work you will love this. Purchasing the Civil War collection will be a wonderful addition to any video collection.Great documentary-if you like history and are sick of dry monotonous presentation styles-with boring views of the past this series will make you feel a part of our heritage. great film, really enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this film. It is a good Civil War documantry. lots of good info for people who are interested in the Civil War, like myself. Only thing I could say bad is not a lot of info on the Medical Dept, but overall it was a great film I realy liked it
