About this product

Product Information

Fight as a high-level ninja and play through stories from the popular Naruto anime in "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3" for the Sony PlayStation 2. Created by Namco Bandai Games and featuring 42 heroes and villains that come directly from the Naruto Shippuden anime, this installment follows the plot of episode 135. It mainly consists of high-speed combat scenes where players fight their way up a ladder of opponents in one of 50 locations. To win, they must press buttons in quick succession to create a powerful attack. There is also a light role-playing element. Players explore the forest village of Konoha and converse with a variety of non-playable characters. The third installment in these games, "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3" takes the systems in place in the first two games and improves upon them without changing the formula. Brought to life on Sony's powerful PS2, this title is sure to delight fans of the show and the previous games with beautiful graphics and fantastic sound. Players punch, kick, and Jutsu combo while fighting through dozens of enemies in their quest to complete the game. Ultimate Jutsu moves are also featured here, and there is a long list of options to assign to the various characters present in the game. Multiple battle modes, including several new additions, allow players to continue their enjoyment of the game long after the main story campaign is finished. Combat is fast paced and takes place in a variety of battle locations from the series. Players jump, throw items, strike their enemies with powerful martial arts attacks, and perform combos. Gamers are able to create intense attacks with unique camera angles to finish their opponents with a cinematic ultimate attack. Many ultimate attacks from the show are selected and assigned to the cast of characters. The main story mode features light RPG elements through the advancement of statistics on Naruto, the main character. As players progress through the campaign, they earn Ryu, a form of currency used to purchase new Jutsu attacks, special unlocks, and statistics. Once the main story has been completed, progress are reset and the campaign played over again with all the upgraded statistics intact. This option allows for infinite replayability.Out of all the new modes available, Hero's History is where players likely spend most of their time. This unique new way to play the PS2 game brings scenes from the anime to life and lets players relive their favorite moments from the series with cut-scenes and epic battles. Multiple perspectives are given for each of these stories so that players can get the full experience of the scenes unfolding before them. Ultimately, they lead to the final boss showdown, which is a climactic highlight of popular battles from the show.Multiplayer games let players go head-to-head with their friends in a local battle mode. All of the game's playable characters are selected for battles. Another new mode featured in "Ultimate Ninja 3" is the Break Room. Within this area, players enjoy games present in the main campaign, including shuriken target practice in the dojo.

    Can't beat online value!

First off, the shipping was incredibly fast! It arrived surprisingly fast, days sooner than I thought on the earliest estimated date. Great value for good condition games. Can tell it has been used but still in good condition. All 4 games for half the price roughly. As for the games I've played before except for the 4th I love these and regretted giving them away so much I had to by them again. The graphics improve by the game but are nothing special even in their time. Other than that every other aspected is great and is really improved upon for each game. The amount of characters and kevels. As well as, the game modes, tons of content, and most important all the games are just fun and addicting! Even if you know nothing about the show I'd say these games are just great classic versus ...

  • Great Game and Good Replay Value

Pretty decent graphics - designed more from the manga than the anime. Cell shading has some cool ink-pen effects, and makes the characters feel more drawn. The gameplay is great, easy to pick up and feels like a combination of Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 and Super Smash Bros. The items seem a little unnecessary, and I almost never use them in a serious battle. The Ultimate Jutsus are amazing, awesome little cutscenes for each, (1st Hokage's is INSANE!) and there are 3 or 4 different ones to choose from for each character - on average. Some moves seem a little imbalanced, as the computer cannot guard against them on any difficulty, but honestly, it provides a nice fail-safe for particularly hard battles. The RPG mode has some cool controls, and I found leaping across the village from ...

  • Good game for "US" players

I only think, out of the Naruto "US" games that are sent here this is probably the only one I think should be purchased. I played Naruto Ultimate Ninja 1 & 2, Naruto Clash of Ninja 1,2,3, Revolution & 4. And out of all the Naruto Games I played the only ones I like to play are from Japan and for Japan only like Naruto Clash of Ninja 3 & 4 also known as Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 & 4. So if you want better games other than this one get Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX, and 2 or Naruto Shippuden: Accel, and 2. But other than that for the "US" Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 (PlayStation 2) is by far the best Naruto Game imported to the US. The Game has it's strong points like a well given roster of characters from the Zabuaza saga all the say to the Sasuke's retrieval saga. Then the ...

  • Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3

The whole naruto ultimate ninja fighting series is amazing. I like the fact that gameplay is so fast paced, and you have many options of what to do and how to act. The enviroments are somewhat interactive, you recieve items from them, which is always fun. I'm not a big fan of other fighters, because they are so limited both in choices and environment, which might be why I like this one so much. As far as, the series goes I would rate it in order of 4,2,3,1 (with # 4 being the best) there reason for this is in # 3 the jutsu's(special attacks) are set up differently then the rest of the series and some of them are just to powerful. It helps to be familiar with the show, but you don't have to be. In my opinion, #4 is hands down the best fighter out there. Better then mortal kombat or dead or ...

  • Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3

The game was way easier than the first and second Ultimate Ninja games (which I still haven't beaten), and I was able to fully 100 percent everything in it (missions, story, all scrolls and characters unlocked, etc...) in 27 hours. Now that Ive finished it there is no point to play anymore cause there is nothing more to do. The story plot is shorter than that of ultimate ninja 2 and is sort of like ultimate Ninja 1 in that it is short and boring. There are some cool new features in it though that are not in the previous 2 titles like roaming around the map and being able to run up walls (:!!! Also there are scrolls u can collect for completing missions to trade for items or cash. There are 20 lvls to play on now!!! There are also a bunch of new characters that are way cooler than the ...
