About this product

Product Information

Based on DreamWorks' computer animated film and Cressida Cowell's book, How to Train Your Dragon follows the adventures of a scrawny young Viking named Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, who goes against his tribe's wishes by befriending a dragon instead of slaying it. The video game version allows you to customize your own dragon mount by choosing one of six species and adjusting its head, body type, and so forth. Two modes of play include Adventure Mode and Arena Mode. The former has you exploring the world as either Hiccup or Astrid. In the latter, you'll participate in special challenges to level up your dragon's speed, power, fire, and other attributes. You'll then engage rival dragons in aerial or ground combat, using your dragon's breath and other forms of attacks to defeat all opponents.

    Good game.

I enjoy this game but there is not really a story line. It is fairly easy to play except landing the dragon. That is much more difficult than it should be compared to the rest of the game play.

  • Great game with lots of action.

Great game. A lot of fun. When battling, it's a lot like Pokemon. The game cartridge itself worked great on my DS Lite, except that sometimes the launch icon would disappear. I would remove and replace the game cartridge and then I could play the game. This could be my machine, though, because it didn't play at all at the beginning until my dad cleaned the electrical contacts of my DS where the game plugged in. (The game worked fine on my sister's DS from the start.) I also played it on my 3DS, but sometimes when starting or quitting the game, the screen would go black for about 5 minutes, then restore like normal.

  • good

i had this game as a kid its pretty much exactly how i remember it. its never been a 5 star game but its special to me. its still pretty good game though simmilar to pokemon but a l o t easier.

  • How to train your dragon game

Good game to help pass the time. Graphics on characters faces are horrible but everything else is great.

  • Neat!

It works wonderfully. I was shocked at first cause i thought it would be like the ps3 game, but that's my own fault x) still a fun game nonetheless!
