About this product

Product Information

Beginners can start with a simple trace design. Switch from round to square wire, adapt the chain to a pendant, or use small oval links for a sophisticated look. Transform trace chains into flat-lying curb chains by twisting each link. Or, try distinctively round loop-in-loop pieces. This range of chains really sparkles and shines. "Highly recommended."- Library Journal.

  • Great tutorial style book making jewelry.

This is a great book for those wanting to make jewelry. The "crafties" making craft quality chains will find it worthless as they have not a clue nor desire to learn how to make jump rings and solder them together.

  • Loop in loop and chain mail

This book is a keeper. It is somewhat similar to the book by James Llewellyn -- Chain Design the Art of Solderless Wireworking -- but Waszek does show soldering in this book. Good step by step photos and drawings. These are loop in loop chains with some chain mail. He does also show how to make your own clasps / fasteners.

  • Making Silver Chains, waste of money

Being a home jeweler and silversmith, I bought this book to help me with jump ring bracelets. The only one that was worth making is the byzantine and I already have that. I thought a huge waste of money, but someone else might like how to make some of the other odd shaped jump rings for other items.
