About this product

Product Information

The legendary golf novel, rereleased in a special edition with a new foreword by the author. Don Imus said it best: "Dan Jenkins is a comic genius." And nowhere is that genius more evident than in Dead Solid Perfect , his uproarious 1974 novel about life on the PGA Tour. To some, Kenny Lee Puckett, the star of Jenkins's ribald saga, is a more important figure in the history of golf than Bobby Jones himself.

"Dan Jenkins is a comic genius." --Don Imus Praise forDead Solid Perfect: "This is vintage Jenkins--profane, outrageous, and sharp-eyed in its parody of the overblown world of big-time golf. It is also distinguished by a climactic golf match that may be the funniest scene he's ever written." --Newsweek "Dan Jenkins is the nearest thing to Ring Lardner this generation has ever seen. No one has captured the essential lunacy of the twentieth-century sports (and TV) scene as accurately and hilariously as this." --Los Angeles Times "Jenkins is hilarious, providing more laughs per page than any other writer in the 'bidness.'" --People, "Dan Jenkins is a comic genius." --Don Imus Praise for Dead Solid Perfect: "This is vintage Jenkins--profane, outrageous, and sharp-eyed in its parody of the overblown world of big-time golf. Have shopped at their brick and mortar in Frederick for years back in the 1980's and they are consistently still providing high quality merchandise at excellent and fair market prices. This is an outstanding seller to deal with. Fair prices that are more than reasonable in this economy. The product is even better condition than described, a true value for my money. Packaged and shipped well shows seller has concern for the products he sells to arrive in excellent condition. The seller is friendly and communicates timely with his customers. All in all I highly recommend this seller and would do business again anytime. Thank you and be safe. Good luck to the future.

  • Great book about the less publicized side of pro golf.

This is a great book for the true golf fan who is not easily offended or too politically correct. Shows exactly how life is on public courses and how a lot of the older pro's grew up playing. I bought this copy to replace one I have had for years that has been much better days.

  • Dead solid perfect

I received the dvd and played it. It only played about 15 minutes of the movie and it then starter breaking up and went back to the beginning of the movie. I tried it about 5times with the same results. I would like to know how to return it!
