About this product

Product Information

Billy Wilder's classic comedy stars Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis as a pair of unemployed musicians who inadvertently become witnesses to the St. Valentine Day's Massacre. To escape the wrath of the gangsters, Joe (Curtis) and Jerry (Lemmon) are forced to hit the road in drag, taking the only jobs available with an all-girl band bound for Miami. Enroute, both men fall for lead singer and blond bombshell Sugar Kane, (Marilyn Monroe), but are unable to fulfill their desires for fear of revealing their identity. Joe tries to get around this by adopting a third identity for seduction, that of a shy millionaire who sounds strangely like Cary Grant. Meanwhile Jerry has his own problems, fighting off the advances of Osgood E. Fielding, a real millionaire hypnotized by his/her charms.

    When Women were curvier!

    A true classic--especially the last line by Joe E. Brown! A funny farcical romp about the roaring '20's and girl bands and the St. Valentine's Day massacre all wrapped up together. Tony Curtis was so handsome and smooth and Jack Lemmon was at his very best and both wore dresses--and seemed to enjoy themselves a tad too much!!! And Marilyn was curvy and not stick thin and all the men loved it! It was 1959 and people accepted a rounder figure. Plus it was Marilyn Monroe for goodness sakes! The Sex bomb of the 50's. It's pretty tame by today's standards. I don't remember hearing any swearing but there is some nasty shooting at the beginning but I would think gran and the grandkids could all watch this flick and get some good chuckles out of it. Thanks and get Some Like It Hot--

    Great Classic with Tony Curtis

    This is a good classic to have for your collection. It is a remake from an earlier version and stars Tony Curtis. They are musicians who wind up dressed like woman. Good drama!

    Great movie, best she ever made.

    Best movie Marilyn made. Very funny and I'll watch it over and over. I would greatly recommend this movie to everyone. I like old movies and this is a great one.

    Some like it hot

    I received the movie in a very good timely matter in pretty good condition. I would definately purchase another movie through ebay in the near future
