    Affordable solution.......but

    Unit looks well made. The design incorporates nylon washers as the bolt is designed to remain loosely tight so the ball can pivot. Problem is ball falls to one side making hook up of trailer a pain, especially if the ball has grease on it from the trailer latch. I installed two thin metal washers to the inside of between the bracket and the ball shaft and eliminated the nylon washers. Tightened the bolt just tight enough to allow the ball to stand up strait on its own, yet move freely with a slight amount of pressure. Worked like a charm.

    Does the job intended

    After installation of a hitch setup on my Gold Wing, the standard hitch and ball were impeding the angle of lean in sharper corners. The trailer was holding the bike up beyond the needed angle, in other words. After installation of the pivot ball the bike was able to bank into turns without resistance from the trailer. It is a bit loose on it's swivel pin but not distracting while riding. The ball and hitch need to be fairly snug to limit some of this. There is also nothing but the tightness of the nut on the receiver to keep the ball from rotating from a side/side motion to a front to back motion. On the Wing a front to back motion could result in damage to the fender.

    Solid, works well.

    The ball works as intended. It has to be held in upright to hook-up the trailer and that is a bit of a pain, but not really a big deal. Solves the issue of not having a swivel bar on the trailer. I am not sure how it would work with a trailer that also has a swivel; that maybe a safety issue. It is over priced for what it is; however it works and that is the main thing.

    Tilt Ball

    This works well and keeps the trailer from getting in a bind. The only drawback is that it rattles when not hooked to the trailer. I cut two small pieces of foam pipe insulation and glued with silicon on each side to fix the rattles.

    Great Hitch!

    I installed on Harley Road-glide Ultra and pulled a trailer for the first time behind a motorcycle. I was able to make any normal maneuver just like there was nothing behind me even on tight turns. This hitch allows complete control on curves as well as open highway.
