Reviews
This witty, erudite and down-to-earth book reveals that modern theories of physics are as frail with unverifiable beliefs as are religions, due to the psychological processes and errors involved in theory formation. It also challenges all self-serving certitude that a preferred theory or belief is literally true, presents relevant psychology and philosophy of science in an accessible way, and does a good job of sketching physics theories without mathematics., An eminently readable look at concepts such as the Big Bang and Dark Matter used to explain the history of the universe. In a world where 'pure' science is often restrained within strict disciplinary boundaries, Davies provides an account of the way in which physicists -- like the rest of us -- are subject to earthly limitations when confronted with complexities that are hard to understand. From his viewpoint as a psychologist, he brushes their sometimes mind blowing journey through space and time against the grain and casts light on the uncertainties of our knowledge which too often attains the status of simple graspable truths. Refreshing and entertaining., A book which, laudably, sets the cat among the pigeons by making the case that religion and science are not the polar opposites many assume, and that there's a 'no-score draw' between the two., God Versus Particle Physics is a bold, witty and undoubtedly controversial book that questions our blind faith in science... [It] is an enjoyable read, presenting a lot of food for thought and fuel for debate., Professor Davies has produced an amusing yet pointed full-frontal assault on science and scientists, especially those physicists who are seeking 'the truth' at the very outer limits of what is knowable. He has chosen a style and tone that will fan the flames of outrage that I am sure will come from some po-faced quarters. I can hear those howls already. The book is a good read and it is all great fun., An eminently readable look at concepts such as the Big Bang and Dark Matter used to explain the history of the universe. Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!
