Disappointed in overall transaction. Poor communication. Seller didn’t reach out at all, but did respond when contacted. Item was on back order for several weeks, and when it finally arrived it was missing the parts to hook it up. Did not receive the kit that was supposed to be included.

Not a bad unit at a VERY good price!
Not a bad unit at a VERY good price! I worked at a fireplace store and handled lots of blowers. They had frames on them for specific units. This one had no frame and the two fans are loose and the unit needs to be put into a frame or screwed onto a piece of wood or something, depending on how you want to use it in order to properly function. After I secured it, and have run it now for over 50 hours, it's good. Relatively quiet, too, in slow to mid-speed mode. On high...well, if it's IN a unit, it may be somewhat quiet... Outside, as mine is...I'd only run it at mid > full if I wanted lots of heat at the sacrifice of quietness. When first I got the package it was immediately apparent that the rheostat was faulty...(crunching when I turned the adjustment knob. I wrote them and heard ... Not a bad unit at a VERY good price! I was immediately sent a new one and replaced it a few hours ago and it's wonderful!. Don't make the mistake of using a light dimmer for a rheostat, as you may burn out the motor...plenty of "the right" units to get out there, or just buy this blower and use what comes with it. Seems Tjernlund is a blower specialist, as they send me info on all sorts of stuff that blows....joke intended. I never did business with them previously, but I would not hesitate to do business with them again. Check them out for all sorts of heat/cool/ventilating blowers.

Good fireplace blower for the thight clearence (4")
It fitts to the 4" clearance. Easy to install. It is quite loud if its operace on the full speed. I have it for more than a year now and it works well.

wrong speed controller
the motor for the fan is an ac motor. The controller works but makes the motor have a 60 cycle noise that is louder than the air blowing.
