  • Age of Apocalypse- The Prequel

Despite what other reviews have said about Volume 1 of the Age of Apocalyse series, this first installment is not a rip off designed by the businessmen at Marvel. I foolishly listened to them and started with the 2nd volume. I have to admit I was somewhat lost through most of the series because I didn't catch on to what was going on. If I had the information introduced in the first volume (which while it doesn't feature the character of Apocalyse, it does act as a prequel and introduce all the main and axilliary characters that will figure in the later volumes) the reading would have been simpilar and much more enjoyable. OK, the Blink mini series was included inappropriately, but they probably felt they needed to build up the pages for the product offering.

The most obviously unnecessary series is the 4 part mini Blink series... however, since she is a more recently added character it is, I feel, important to lay down her character before moving on. And other back points are important too. Like the ...
