Saved my chainsaw!
I have waited awhile to review this to make sure no issues came up, None have! I had a Stihl chainsaw that this brought back to life, easy to use, just follow the directions. I COATED the tap with grease to collect the shavings and was able to complete without pulling the head off. I did clean the tap and re apply grease a couple times during the repair. I only cut about 6-8 cords of wood a year, so I don't know how it will hold up with daily use, but compared to the cost of a new head it's worth a shot. Great product! I you have the tools, it works fast and easy. It is a very strong repair. Possibly more durable than the original threads because the insert is steel not aluminum.
