    Christmas present

    I gave this book as a present to my grand daughter who asked for it specifically. When she opened it up, she showed me the amazing illustrations created by the author. My grand daughter is 17 and loves the group Chemical Romance, so having this book meant a lot to her. She loves it.

    Great story, great art, Gerard Way is a good comic author

    I love Gerard way as an author and musician. It's not easy t jump genres this seamlessly but Way pulls it off. Umbrella Academy is a fun read, and a fun universe that I like exploring. I reserve 5 stars for absolute classics so I did not give it hat but it is a great story wi great art and definitely worth your time.

    If you enjoyed the Netflix series, worth a look

    A recent, well cast and produced (if straining credibility) scifi/fantasy series on Netflix had its origins in a graphic novel series of the same name. So many similar films prove vastly superior in their original forms (a case in point being the Harry Potter series after the remarkably faithful first three movies). This is not the case here, where the literal visual medium of television/film helps the viewer wrap their imagination around plot points often decidedly hard to swallow, but for fans of the cable series, seeing the original works is an undeniable treat.

    Umbrella Academy

    The story is so interesting. It is funny and sad and entertaining. The art is brilliant. The story captures the past hurt that everyone feels in their youth and released in their adult life. I love gerard way's music (in my chemical romance) and now i like his story telling. if you like comics and superheroes then you'll like this graphic novel.
