About this product

Product Information

Don't miss the JOE PICKETT series--now streaming on Paramount+ Joe Pickett's friend's past comes back to haunt everyone he cares about in this "violent, bloody, and quite satisfying thriller"* from #1 New York Times bestselling author C. J. Box. In 1995, Nate Romanowski was in a Special Forces unit abroad when his commander, John Nemecek, did something terrible. Now the high-ranking government official and cold-blooded sociopath is determined to eliminate anyone who knows about it--like Nate, who's hidden himself away in Wyoming's Bighorn Mountains. And he knows exactly how Nemecek will do it--by targeting Nate's friends to draw him out. That includes his friend, game warden Joe Pickett, and Pickett's entire family. The only way to fight back is outside the law. Nate knows he can do it, but he isn't sure about his straight-arrow friend. And all their lives could depend on it. Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

    Joe Stands With Nate

Great book. Very entertaining and well written. CJ Box books are great. Force of Nature is a great title for this book. Falconry is a theme and topic throughout. Nate's history is revealed. He and Joe Pickett, the game warden, are friends even though Joe does not always agree with Nate. Nate has been there for Joe and his family, and Joe cannot leave Nate when his life is on the line.

  • A well crafted honest approach to what a rogue spy might be like when hunt.

Fun adolescent thrill ride of ex CIA assassin turned "retired" and forced out due to unknown circumstances whose past is now hunting him. Box uses a very nicely woven set of symbolic gestures in the art of Falconry to paint a subterranean feel of why the hunter becomes the hunted etc. The characters are at times bland and at other times nicely blunt. His scenic development is done with good timing and length without killing the pace of the book. Where the book lacks in the normal nail biting pace, it makes up for in more adult conceptualization of a true and honest pace for a scenario such as this if it were to truly take place. Overall a good spy survival and revenge book with some nice twisted endings and a villain you want to see put down while at the same time feeling as if you ...

  • Great read, keeps you on edge for the next chapter.

Very exciting book that is well written. I had a hard time putting it down.
