    Entertaining and provacative

    Fascinating book, although the author could be accused of overstating his argument that "Revolver" launched a revolution in popular music. Fun to read, and it will send you back to the CD on more than one occasion.

    Comprehensive.

    Goes into great detail about the making of Revolver by The Beatles, the sessions associated with it and the times in pop music in general. A fair amount of technical description but still a good read, with great illustrations and photos. This is the second copy I've bought having given the first one as a gift to a fellow music fan.
