    The Doobie Brothers - Debut Album

    I've possessed the Doobie's 'Greatest Hits' album in various forms (vinyl, cassette and CD and now I-Tunes)but until a friend played his Doobie's copy of 'The Captain And Me' in DVD audio, I'd never heard any of the bands other music. I loved the album - Purchased it on disc and I figured I'd start to purchase their other albums chronologically which lead me to this, thier first album. Released in 1971 the Doobie's debut album, although it boasts no top 40 hits is an easy listen. It has an acoustic "hippie vibe" to it with songs that are, for the most part, uplifting and happy. The trademark harmonys are certainly evident in this release. The sound quality is excellent for the era as well. It definitely lends itself to repeated listenings. Wayne Ridge

    The Doobie Brothers by The Dobbie Brothers CD 1st Album

    Great assortment of songs from this early Dobbies offering. I actually used to have this one on 8-track tape years ago and was very happy to find out that it has been released in CD format. I would recommend this album to any Doobie fan as a welcome addition to your music collection. The only song that got any radio airplay to my knowledge is the first song on the CD titled "Nobody."
