    Items as described. Packed well. Great value. Shipped the same day as order. I just wish they would fix their shipping. I did not like waiting almost a week just to find out that actual shipping would be only $2 cheaper than the listed amount when flat rate shipping makes it possible to guarantee a maximum cost. Glad no one else bought it. Ebay has a solid method of calculating shipping and allowing sellers to add a handling fee, but the seller needs to provide accurate size and weight.

    Used it to upgrade the dell inspiron 530

    I used this processor with the intel LGA 771 socket mod to upgrade someones very old and aging Dell inspiron machine. My friend wanted to play games on an aging dell but come on, you really can't play modern games on a core 2 duo anymore now can you? He didn't have the money to build an entirely new computer yet so we settled on an alternative: getting this xeon and the LGA 771 socket mod. If anyone is curious what model of computer we used I did this mod with the dell inspiron 530 with the foxconn G33m03 motherboard and it worked flawlessly with the mod. I didn't have to add any microcodes to the bios at all. This CPU is not the fastest, it's not the best but it will get him by until he has the money for an entirely new machine.

    e5440, Pre-Modded. Great for aging LGA775 Boards

    After having first ensured compatibility, I popped this into a board that used to house a Q6600. Ran out of the box, only required a microcode update to the bios to keep the fans from running 100% all the time. Overclocks fairly decently (15% increase is easy with basically not tweaking to voltages, et al), runs cooler than the Q6600 and comes at a 2.8 GHz frequency out of the box (about as high as I could get my garbage Q6600 to OC to stably). The single thread performance is a nice bump over the Q6600 and is less of a bottleneck for gaming than the Q6600 is. Matches the R9 270 much better, gives me acceptable gaming performance where the CPU was struggling to keep up. I use it in my secondary/LAN/travel PC and it was a solid upgrade for the $20-$25. And 12M of L2 cache is pretty sweet ...

    Great upgrade for my pc

    This processor replaced a pentium D dual core processor which was 3gh/4mb/800fbs in my g 41 motherboard and the result was amazing. I will give you a comparison between the 2 processors performance: playing full hd mkv videos : pent. D almost 100% of processing capacity - intel xeon only 15%. pc start up time: D 40 sec - xeon 15 sec immediate copying of files (copying window doesn't need to appear) : D up to 80 mb - xeon up to 200 mb and of course much better surfing speed of the internet and much better gaming performance
