    Great Author

    I'm not a Civil War buff...but this author's books have drawn me into the scene and have given me an opportunity to prepare for a visit to Gettysburg later this year. Really enjoying the learning experience. Author is able to draw a "word picture" with great detail, and few words.

    Great book, part of a great series.

    This is one in a series which I love. The others are Gods and Generals and Killer Angels. Epic novels about the Civil War. Makes the war come alive.

    good book

    Great Civil War book. Couldn't put it down. Follows the same soldiers who fought at Gettysburg and tells how the war went in its last two years. Was especially interesting to see how the surrender came about.
