    Simple, straightforward advice to stay/ become healthy.

    Great book about keeping your health. Written in simple straightforward language. One you will actually read all the way through. Author is not a fan of prescription drugs that mask a problem. He wants you to fix the problem. Worth reading.

    Food Is Your Best Medicine by HG Bieler

    I read the original book 35 years ago. It helped me understand how food and fasting effects the body. At 61 years old, I am in excellent health and I owe much to this books detailed ideas. I recommend it to anyone who eats food. (I also started yoga for a bad back, but it probably wasn't anything to do with food issues.) There are numerous weird ideas going around about how to get your weight right and avoid diseases. Many are simply wrong and dangerous though they might make changes in your weight for a while; basically everyone needs to know what health is and what poisoning your body is. This book clarifies much of these issues. There are other books that support the ideas of this book. The ideas of Dr. Bieler can be traced back several centuries.     Broth recipe

    Dr. Bieler was ahead of his time and this book proves it. Mostly I wanted it for the broth recipe to alkaline the body. He truly felt that we heal ourselves, it is not the Doctors that heal us at all. In fact modern medicine is dangerous! He goes into it all very thoroughly and it is well worth the read.
