Seller Notes: “The four cushion cut diamonds are in excellent condition with no wear or damage. Diamonds (c. 2mm) ... “The four cushion cut diamonds are in excellent condition with no wear or damage. Diamonds (c. 2mm) are of good white colour with plenty of life and fire. The diamonds are estimated at 0.1 ct each, giving a tdw of c. 0.4 ct. The rubies (c. 2.5mm) are not damaged or chipped or scratched, but show a little wear around the table facet. they are of a good, clear pinkish red colour. The pearls are natural seed pearls. The two outer pearls are in perfect condition, the top of the central pearl has lost a layer of nacre, but as it is a natural pearl, the layer that shows through is still nacreous and lustrous. This small defect is really only visible under magnification. There are rubbed marks to the shank, and it tests as 18ct gold. The goldwork is in very good condition for age too, with no visible dings or scratches, and in good shape. Size L.5 Weight 4.1g 19th Century ring box in antique condition, with signs of wear to leather and silk interior, but hinges and closure both in good order.”
