The Birds of Michigan is a major publishing event. It is the first popular, comprehensive survey of Michigan's birds in over forty years.     It IS the Birds of Michigan.

    It contains the ACCURATE description of the WHITE-FACED Ibis seen in the late 60's in Cass County, Michigan, unlike the "expert" re-visits which likely judged the species ONLY from the picture of it poorly reproduced from the original color slide in a Michigan birds-sightings digest. The book is not a field guide, nor is it touted as one. It's large, so to then is the easy-read print and nice numerous color plates.
