Just The Ticket
This has all the deep tone you look for in a bass and yet can do some modern snaps. The notes are smooth and rich sounding and carry the rhythm section. I have tried other flat-wounds and they seemed lifeless these are the opposite they bring the tone and are easy on the fingers. And they are very forgiving and don't buzz on the frets like round wounds do. The smaller size makes playing a breeze. Fantastic strings!
I use these on both of my vintage basses: A 1975 Rickenbacker 4001 and a 1979 Kramer aluminum-neck B450. These sings are easy on the necks and frets, while retaining plenty of low-end thump. They are very smooth and comfortable to play. I highly recommend them.
