    Wonderful Christmas Show

    If you want a kid friendly (under 10 set) holiday video which depicts the birth of Jesus in a truthful, but age appropriate, way then this is for you. Told from a wise man'so point of view, the story begins with the wise men discovering and following the Christmas star. The story in its entirety is presented. The music is wonderful and the characters are adorable. It is out of print, so find it now while you can find gently used copies.

    Uplifting Story

    This is a great depiction of the Magi especially with Andy Griffin telling the story. It looks like a children's DVD but I am a grandmother and I really enjoyed everything about it, including the music.

    The Very First Noel (DVD)

    I love The Very First Noel DVD because it has a great story about the birth of Jesus and the trek of the three wisemen. The animation is wonderfully done in a classic style similar to the stop-motion animation of the 1960s and 1970s. Of course this movie is a lot more refined in smoothness and is done by more of the traditional animation and CGI. The narration is done well by Andy Griffith. The music, especially "Joy to the World", is very memorable. I can see this becoming a true classic that is shown every Christmas season.

    The Very First Noel

    We purchased this video originally because our daughter is the voice of Mary and our son-in-law is the voice of Joseph (and the Tall Shepherd), and the writers/producers are good friends of theirs, but found the animation, story line,and music - to say nothing of the voice-overs! - are all truly superb. Great viewing for all ages, from "tiny tots with their eyes open wide" to parents and grandparents alike. We have purchased dozens of copies to give to friends and family as Christmas presents and continue to get feedback from them as to how this video has become a vital part of their family Christmas tradition.
