About this product

Product Information

What if our beliefs were not what divided us, but what pulled us together In Have a Little Faith , Mitch Albom offers a beautifully written story of a remarkable eight-year journey between two worlds--two men, two faiths, two communities--that will inspire readers everywhere. Albom's first nonfiction book since Tuesdays with Morrie, Have a Little Faith begins with an unusual request: an eighty-two-year-old rabbi from Albom's old hometown asks him to deliver his eulogy. Feeling unworthy, Albom insists on understanding the man better, which throws him back into a world of faith he'd left years ago. Meanwhile, closer to his current home, Albom becomes involved with a Detroit pastor--a reformed drug dealer and convict--who preaches to the poor and homeless in a decaying church with a hole in its roof. Moving between their worlds, Christian and Jewish, African-American and white, impoverished and well-to-do, Albom observes how these very different men employ faith similarly in fighting for survival: the older, suburban rabbi embracing it as death approaches; the younger, inner-city pastor relying on it to keep himself and his church afloat. As America struggles with hard times and people turn more to their beliefs, Albom and the two men of God explore issues that perplex modern man: how to endure when difficult things happen; what heaven is; intermarriage; forgiveness; doubting God; and the importance of faith in trying times. Although the texts, prayers, and histories are different, Albom begins to recognize a striking unity between the two worlds--and indeed, between beliefs everywhere. In the end, as the rabbi nears death and a harsh winter threatens the pastor's wobbly church, Albom sadly fulfills the rabbi's last request and writes the eulogy. And he finally understands what both men had been teaching all along: the profound comfort of believing in something bigger than yourself. Have a Little Faith is a book about a life's purpose; about losing belief and finding it again; about the divine spark inside us all. It is one man's journey, but it is everyone's story. Ten percent of the profits from this book will go to charity, including The Hole In The Roof Foundation, which helps refurbish places of worship that aid the homeless.

Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

  • Another great book. A must read!!

This book is a true account of two religious men, one an old rabbi and the other an unlikely pastor. Mitch Albom who is the author of "Tuesdays With Morrie" was asked by his home-town rabbi to give his eulogy when he dies. About 1/2 of this book is his account of his interviews and interaction with that rabbi. The other 1/2 of this book is the account of an unlikely pastor at an inner city church in Detroit. When you read this book you get the feeling that Mitch is looking for an answer to his own faith. Mitch is a great author and he is a very easy read. I only read one book last year (other than the Bible) and this was it. I bought it because I will buy anything Mitch writes because it is worthwhile and easy to read.

  • Amazing Book, Amazing Author

I Love Mitch Albom, He is such a great writing, you can tell he writes from the heart. I loved everything about this book. I first went on the Barnes and Noble web site and seen the book being advertise, it cought my attention but not enough to buy. Then one morning I was watching Good Morning America, and heard about the story with the man who had a hole in his church roof, and they spoke about the book, and thats when I knew i had to buy this book, it was much better then expected. I love the life experiance between two diff poeple and two diff religions

  • KEEPING THE FAITH

I REALLY LOVED THIS BOOK. LIVING THRU THE EVERYDAY STRUGGLES THAT LIFE MAY SEND YOUR WAY IT IS EASY TO GET CAUGHT UP IN THE THINGS THAT REALLY DO NOT MATTER. I LOST MY PRECIOUS SON IN A CAR ACCIDENT TWO YEARS AGO. MY LIFE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN. IN THE BEGINNING MY DAYS WERE ALL DARK AND I WAS TOO SAD TO BE ANGRY. AFTER THE ANGER PASSED I BEGAN TO SEEK "MY SOUL" AGAIN. MITCH ALBOM HAS INSPIRED ME TO, "HAVE A LITTLE FAITH" TO ONCE AGAIN BELIEVE IN A HIGHER POWER AND FIND PEACE WITHIN MYSELF. THANK YOU

  • Forgiveness

A humbleing book...Not as good as his other ones, but different. Reading it makes me want to be a better person, and I have a long ways to go. Forgiveness is a big theme in this book, and it has opened my eyes. I have a lot of thinking to do, and a lot of forgiving to to. The book is right, it's just not worth it..I just finished the book, at almost 1 am, and am so heavy in thought right now, I don't even know where to start. Read this book. It's a fast read, but take your time..Think a little while you are reading it..I did, and hope to become a better person..Thanks Mitch for sharing this book
