classic power metal
Well after at last getting the last remaining album of dragonforce that I did not have" ( I have inhuman rampage. ultra beatdown and valley of of damned as well) I have to say that this band never seems to entertain me with there powerful and lighting fast guitar play and well done solo's and Dave Mackintosh's Blast beat rhythm on the drums ZP always seems to sell the meaning of each song that has a different message from the world of fantasy with his great voice, not the best but it's nice I like the story telling aspect of there songs. I also really enjoy this band love for gaming and how like throw in different classic themes like the double dragon theme in "black fire" in one of there songs on valley of the damned, this band also does very nice 80's style ballads that are nice cool ... The only thing that is wrong with dragonforce that have decided not reinvent there sound. that is the ONE BIG THING that alot of people have said about them thats is this bands huge turnoff. I can understand that there do sound the same in just about every song on every album, but to me there not band to take really serious in my view, there not like linkin park, etc. there just really fun band to listen to and blow off the stream of a long day.

An excellent buy and must-have for power metal fans
This album is definitely my favorite of the three that the band currently has out. All eight tracks are perfect balances of vocal strength, adrenaline-based drums, fantastic guitar work, and awe-inspiring background vocals. There isn't a single track that doesn't make the cut on this one. Also, if you manage to pick up the Japanese version, the bonus track is just one more on an excellent roster. This is a must-have for all fans of the band.This album is definitely my favorite of the three that the band currently has out. All eight tracks are perfect balances of vocal strength, adrenaline-based drums, fantastic guitar work, and awe-inspiring background vocals. There isn't a single track that doesn't make the cut on this one. Also, if you manage to pick up the Japanese version, the bonus track is just one more on an excellent roster. Foreshadowing
The melodies off DragonForce's more recent album have more intensity. The guitars have more shred. But there are a few gems on this album, most notably "My Spirit Will Go On" and "Fury of the Storm." The others waver between mediocre and passable. All in all, a solid album for guitar work, but not as impressive as "Inhuman Rampage," their newest offering.

Sonic Firestorm - Dragonforce "Purely Awesome"
Well, while the cd itself has only 8 tracks, the length of each song makes the listening time extend to the point where you'd think you were listening 15 tack disc. I'd recommend it to a friend...
