Typical Elvis movie
While this is the typical Elvis fare (boy meets girl, boy sings to girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy and girl have happy ending), it still has its moments that make it fun. With Gary Lockwood (who went on to play Frank Poole in 2001: A Space Odyssey) as Presley's piloting partner (and gambler who gets caught up with a gang of ruffians when they demand he pay his debts) and Joan O'Brien as a nurse who becomes Presley's love interest, the story revolves around a young Oriental girl (delightfully played by 8-year-old Vicki Liu) who's been left in their care while her uncle goes off in search of work. But the real star of the film is the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle (where many exterior scenes were shot, much to the delight of fans who often swarmed Presley's car when it arrived each ... And one surprise cameo was a young Kurt Russell (then 12 years old) who played a kid at the fair who encounters Presley and asks for quarters so he can go on the rides. Presley says he'll give the kid 50 cents if he kicks Presley in the shin (so he can have nurse Joan O'Brien patch him up--and thus start the romantic aspects of the film). Russell actually kicked Elvis and later said he didn't mean to kick him so hard! All in all, a good flick, mostly for fun and for a time period when men wore suits to such events and women wore high heels and dresses.

Elvis Is Elvis
This is one of the good Elvis movies. Elvis made 31 movies in his career and "It Happened at the Worlds Fair" is entertaining and filmed at an interesting location. Good songs, a pretty love interest and adventure. Check it out.

Elvis Presley's - "It Happened At The World's Fair"
This DVD copy of Elvis Presley's movie - "It Happened At The World's Fair" - a movie that takes place during Seattle's 1962 World's Fair, turned out to be an excellent one, even though it was previously opened. There were no problems throughout the disk. The only problem a person might have with it is it's widescreen format. I just used the DVD player's zoom feature to have a closer look. The low price and free shipping helped me to make-up my mind to purchase it. The movie itself is an enjoyable tale of two pilots taking a trip to Seattle's World's Fair with a Chinese American farmer and his young niece. The songs Elvis sings are good, especially - "One Broken Heart For Sale." This definitely is - in my opinion - ... Great movie
As long as Elvis stars, the movie is usually good! And he does not disappoint in this one. His singing is excellent, as usual. And the care he takes of a little girl is engaging.
