Really great show. Fun to rewatch when I want. Some of my sets come in thin cases and some come in standard cases. This came in the later, which is much more secure in holding the discs. The DVD set is average in terms of features. It has some featurettes, which are longer for this season than initially. It doesn't have any deleted scenes. It also doesn't have closed captions. Which is always nice to have when either the characters talk fast or mumble, or say something you have no idea how it's spelled. For example, chapai (the term for the stargate).Really great show. Wonderful series
I've been a fan of Stargate for a while now, having watched all the episodes on Hulu, but until now I'd never bothered buying any of the sets. I decided to start my collection, and since this was the cheapest season available at the time, I ordered it. Good points: You get all the episodes in Season 3 of a great sci-fi show. I don't know if there's bonus material, I seem to remember there not being any, but I don't generally watch that sort of thing anyway so I'm not entirely sure. Bad points: Storage. It takes up a lot of space, as each of the five disks has its own full-size dvd case. This one season takes more space on my shelf that three seasons of Atlantis. Let's get down to brass tacks. There will be a copy of this same review for every season since I bought the complete 8 season set. (I also just just bought SG Atlantis Season 1.) ALL the seasons, transfers, and everything connected with this series are strictly FIRST RATE! DVD picture is far better than the average TV broadcast. In most cases you may find that the sound is noticeably better than you've heard it on TV also. This is simply one of the FINEST SERIES EVER! Pure FUN. Pure ENTERTAINMENT! Own it... Trust me!
