  • One of the best looking games on the 2600.

I'd swear this was a 7800 game if I didn't know better. It looks incredible for the console. It's also much deeper than 2600 games usually are. There is a galaxy map separated into different sections. You travel across the galaxy, to planets to refuel and rescue people, and to hostile zones to engage in space battles. Aliens will attack a planet and you have to defeat them before they destroy it, which gives them control over that solar system. Wherever they are in control, the players controls are reversed, making the game more difficult. The galaxy is very large, so you'll probably need to find a map of it somewhere online to know where to go. It's a hard and intense game, but also very fun. It's even better if you use a SEGA Genesis controller.

  • Classic Shooter

Ever curious about the unofficial sequal to Star Raiders on Atari 2600? Well get Solaris! This is a perfect example of the true possibilities to what the 2600 was able to do back in the day when the programmer was given free reign to make a great game. The graphics were par none on the system. They were fast, fluid, and no graphical glitches. There was always something to shoot at, and it was always on the move. The tactical element to the game was awesome as well. Many many levels of play to reach the end...the planet Solaris. I highly recommend this title for anyone wanting to go on a flashback trip to the 80's on the 2600!

  • Solaris come Lately!

It may not have been around in the early days, but once it hit the Atari scene, it was stunning. The graphics on this game "Solaris" were way before their time. Of all the approximately 500 Atari game that were distributed for the Atari 2600, this was and will again be my absolute favorite. I'm currently waiting for my newly purchased copy, which should be here any day now. I can only appreciate that eBay is here and afforded me the opportunity to see it and buy it. I know there are the standards, but if you haven't played "Solaris"...You haven't played Atari!!! Now that I have my copy I can tell you that there are more copies on eBay...don't all buy them at once!

  • One of the graphically better games, great game play!

This is arguably one of the best Atari 2600 games you can get. The graphics are stunning for the system and the game play is enough to keep even a modern gamer interested. This is one of the games I show people when I bring up the atari, most remember the original pac-man or E.T. and have a bad taste in their mouth. This quickly changes that. I can also recomend a few other gems, such as "spider fighter" and mario bros.

  • Excellent

Very nice, perfect for my collection!
