About this product

Product Information

This curious blend of big-name brands tells the earlier parts of the Star Wars story in a version of films' universe that's been built from scratch with Lego parts and people. The game highlights the action of Episodes I through III (the more recent, prequel films); players take control of thoroughly Lego versions of heroes -- such as Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, and others -- to battle through action-oriented levels based on the films' settings, but constructed entirely with Lego blocks.

Different characters have different special skills, and this leads to some exploration and puzzle-solving gameplay along with the 3D platform-style action and combat. As they progress, heroes earn credits which can be spent to unlock new characters. The main game features unlimited lives, encouraging players to explore the secrets hidden in each area. LEGO Star Wars was developed by Traveller's Tales, a studio previously known for its handling of licensed properties in games such as A Bug's Life, Finding Nemo, The Weakest Link, and Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex.

All items were included and packaged very well. Shipping took longer than expected for the price. Couple small scratches on bottom screen that weren’t disclosed, otherwise item works as described. Would buy from this seller again.

Easy to play and a lot of fun

I thought this would be a game for little kids - I bought it in mind for my granddaughter to play on visits. I found it to be a fun and well laid out game. It kept my interest and a little more involved than I figured it would be.

  • A Long Time Ago, in an eBay Auction Far Away...

Super playability, perfect for most younger children. This game is full of amusing little tidbits which surprise and amuse those who are old enough to actually have seen the Star Wars movies in the theater. Progressive story mode takes mental effort and aquired skills to complete, but are within the grasp of my 5-yr-old. He can barely read, but he's figuring out the game! It's not getting old and boring either. It's holding on as the most popular game in the house! We have a Wii console, and I had a Gamecube controller in my parts bucket. For Wii, you MUST have a GC controller or two, and I highly recommend a GC memory card if you want to save games. Access to the plugin ports for both is under hidden doors on the top of the Wii console. Plays perfectly on the Wii. For what these games ...

  • LEGO Star Wars!!! Nuff said!!!

Well I never thought I'd see the day. What's next? Batman, Spiderman, Harry Potter. Who knows? Who cares? This is where the franchising begins. Lego's track record on games is not so good but this one is better than all the other because let's face it, it's Star Wars. The game is fun. Using the force should be more fun. Running should be faster. Jumping should be higher. Controls should be better. Playing alone can be a real drag and quite tedious at times collection LEGO pieces and smashing stuff into little LEGO pieces. Although it is a nice touch, having to smash everything is repetitive. But at least you get to play through the first 3 movies and it is a really fun game. Would have been great to see online play as well. Graphics are decent but it doesn't take a long time to play ...

  • LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game (GameCube)

Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, is a great addition to any collection!!! The gameplay is great, the graphics are good, and there are dozens of freeplay characters!!! The game is great, except the very easy gameplay for experienced gamers, and may become boring after awhile. This game gets a 4 out of 5 for graphics, 5 out of 5 for music, and a 5 out of 5 for replay value!! Overall I give this game a 4 out of 5!!!

  • FUN, action, puzzles, great graphics, infinite life!

This is a totally enjoyable game. The graphics are really well done and authentic to the Lego look. The game is a series of challenges (puzzles) to get past that require a mix of action, thought, and collaboration. Each character has attributes that can get you by rough areas of the game, and you can buy and switch characters as needed. Although the game requires fighting to get by the bad guys, the level of stress is low and you even come right back after dieing (minus your gold). My grandchildren clued me in to this game while visiting for Christmas :)
