    Manfrotto... Meets the Need!

    Manfrotto products have, IMHO, always been 1st rate. This one, shall work nicely with either of my 3 -35mm cameras, with up to a max 200mm prime lens or any of my wide angle lenses as well as my Yashica Mat 124 G. ! Carry bag is a Very Nice feature for my backpacking.

    Pan head, best for video

    Sturdy, well made, light, compact, and a good size. Had to read the instructions to figure out how to get the upper panning handle to position properly! The top panning handle is stowed parallel to the bottom handle for compact fold up. Loosen the handle by [spin handle shaft on its axis counter-clockwise], rotate the shaft relative to the head by 90 degrees, then tighten handle again. The quick release plate is polarized- has to be oriented in a single direction to attach. Best for video- the pan head makes it easy to, well, pan. The leg hinges cannot be swung past the ~30 degree limit for t those super low shots. Likewise, the head cannot be reversed on the center shaft.

    Tripod, for tripod use.

    Sturdy, quality constructed tripod. Does everything a tripod does, and nothing a tripod does not. It sits square and level, the adjustment lockers are sturdy and do not slip, the quick release camera body bracket is an awesome feature that I use all the time! It doesn't eat too much, it doesn't bully the pets and try to pet the cat too hard, it doesn't try to make passes at my girlfriend while I'm away. Yes, this is the nicest tripod I have ever owned.

    Perfect 65" tripod for photography

    I have nothing bad to say about this product, it works the way it is supposed to. It is stable while shooting photographs at slow shutter speeds. If I were to lose this tripod I would purchase another on just like it, or the same model.
