Great Product for those in a Wheelchair
I used one of these on my chair for 2 years and it is great. Like having one of those big chairs mobility that are hard to transport around town with the conveinence of your small lightweight folding chair or regular wheelchair. My chair and this drive fit in the back of my Toyota Prius. It is great, compact, and fast. I weigh 290 pounds and it had no trouble going up inclines or pushing me around town. Never had to look for a Kart at Walmart or a grocery store as you can use a regular Kart again to put your stuff in and this will push both you and the Kart. Its really neat as the grocery kart works as your steering.I used one of these on my chair for 2 years and it is great. GREAT! - except the Battery doesn't hold charge nearly as well in less than a year.
LOVE my SmartDrive! The company has been great about replacing when I've had problems over the past 3 years but am told I'll have to send my current one with the problems back before a replacement or repaired drive will be sent from now on. They've worked out a LOT of the early kinks with the blue tooth and now that works great but if it is used for long distances like on bike paths the battery looses life in less than a year - 1 full charge won't last nearly as long as it did when it was new just less than a year ago. I would be very concerned about buying used for that reason, except as a second for a back up. For the price they charge it should last a lot longer than that but medicare does cover with doctors authorization.LOVE my SmartDrive! Careful when buying used
The Smart Drive I bought claimed to be in mint condition. The wrist controller is dead . I couldn’t try it right away as my chair hadn’t arrived. The unit seems to work alright.

A Complete Waste of Money
This can't power a wheelchair by itself--only HELP to power one, while the occupant pushes it. I'm hemiplegic (right side paralyzed); I can't push ANYTHING with my right arm. This device is useless.
