I had to review this book now because it was quite a task searching through the web links looking for the right demo called on Digidesign.com called Pro Tools . They are now at 8 and to find a free demo to use only for a limited time. I came to a non-adult Music Product Tool Kit, that was nice but I wanted an demo called Music Tool Kit. Some are out of of it or don't have it on their website or show a quick demo job of it. So I came to web link in Digidesign.com where they are limited and tried Wave, etc. which did work similar to Pro Tools audio and others like Cake Walk and Cubase at level 1 for inexperienced student such as I am. I tried wave and added one, voice audio of the lessons in the Editing audio in Pro Tools. I did a freehand after reading somewhat how a voice was added it ... It was very fascinating and so little time for me to study it, you have to make time and find the right demo online that comes close to Music Tools Kit not all are free. I followed the directions in doing the Skill Pack as Michael White said to do. It was quite an experience for me to undertake this short study of this Pro Tools Skill Pack. And I was impressed with this book. It is a a nice instruction book for beginners like me and very good directions to follow. A nice attractive design in blue, lime and green with musical notations, etc on it. The Thomason Institute of Technology put this book out. They are quite a well known in teaching Technology in today's world. I almost took up a course in pc repair through them in the mail a very long time but circumstances beyond my control came up. It would have been a nice beginning. But I learned on my own level of pc repair an upgrading. I bought this book because I wanted to learn how to edit in audio just as they do in CUBASE AND CAKEWALK. Also using midi cable in editing. One thing was difficult in that is was going and finding a free demo on the web to use with this Pro Tools Skill pack. I came close to it with Wave. I will keep looking for one that is out-dated and is free to try . It is still a good Skill Pack to try and use for an inexperienced student in music theory as I am. Thank you Rose27Sharon Kathleen

learning the basics of pro tools program
I bought this book a couple of years doing my research in amazon. It' was an easy experience to learn the basics & fundamentals skills of pro tools. The book includes a CD format that incorporate a sample song which have a couple of tracks(drum, guitar, vocals, bass). And show you how to used the fundamental that require to edit & record a song.
