Review of Shopaholic Ties the Knot
I purchased Shopaholic Ties the Knot shortly after reading the first two Shopaholic novels in the series. The whole series is fun and easy to follow - I couldn't put them down once I started reading them. Ties the Knot starts off with Luke's sweet proposal to Becky and follows her through the hardships of dealing with her mother-in-law and her own mother while planning her wedding. In the end, we get to see Becky work brilliantly through her issue while still getting the wedding of her dreams. I liked this particular novel because it left the focus of Becky's frivolous shopping habits (although there are still some good purchases) and focused more on her relationships, albeit nerve racking that she tries to avoid adversity with everyone like the plague. Exasperating, Fun, Predictable Bridget Jonesesque Story
Sophie Kinsella's sequel novel, "Shopaholic Ties the Knot," is yet another story about an exasperating and fun character who has a shopping obsession. The novel is a stark reminder that if a pop culture formula works once- Helen Fielding's triumph on both sides of the Atlantic with "Bridget Jones's Diary,"- the knock-offs will keep coming until nary a book, movie, or TV show can be sold. Becky has moved to New York and, much to the surprise of some readers, is a personal shopper at Barneys! She and rich boyfriend, Luke, now live in a modest apartment on the West Side. When he proposes marriage, she couldn't be more thrilled- until the inevitable conflict begins: marry in England or America. Becky's mother wants her to get married back in Oxshott, while Luke's overbearing mother wants ... This novel differs from the previous installments because it further develops Becky's character and her relationships with her mother, Luke, and Luke's frosty mother with slightly fewer shopping binges. All three are light-hearted fare, very easy to read, and, for the fan of such hijinks, very difficult to put down.

I loved Shopoholic Ties the Knot, by Sophie Kinsella because it has all the characteristics that i was lookig for in a book, Romance, Humor,suspence,and excitment.I conSider Shopoholic Ties the Knot as a soul opera, in which you dot have to way to the next showtime but read as long as you want. Sophie Kinsella is a great writer who knows how to catch the reader's attention, and use descripted words to transmit her stories. I decided to buy Shopoholic Ties the Knot because i love the Shopoholic books, I've read the two previous books and felt in love with them i can't wait to read the following novel, Shopoholic and Sister. Here comes the bride, not one time but twice
Please read my other review of this book. It is time for Becky to get married. What could happen.... an ending you will not believe. How will Becky make wedding planning become a mess. You could never have guessed, unless you haave been reading about Becky in the other books. Becky makes you rethink the whole outlook you have on her. I cannot say enough about this amazing author and series. I am in love. I had not been reading for years. Now thanks to Sophie I am a book worm. A book takes just a week. I suggest the tapes for the first read. That way you get the cute british voice in your head for when you read later. You need to read these in order. I cannot believe how easy she is to read. It is better than Grey's Anatomy. Read this one after all the books before it. Otherwise you ... Please read my other review of this book. It is time for Becky to get married. Married... AT LAST!!
As with Kinsella's other novels in this series, "Shopaholic Ties the Knot" is an absolute gem!! Becky Bloomwood is finally getting married to her live-in boyfriend, Luke. A suave and debonair gentleman, Luke is highly successful and worth millions (which isn't too bad for Becky's little addiction). However, Becky's best friend, Suze, is getting married at the same time. This doesn't bode well for Miss Bloomwood, seeing how Suze is getting all the attention. If you're a shopper (or woman for that matter), you will laugh, cry and relate to most, if not all!, of the situations Kinsella throws Becky into. This installment is one of Kinsella's best!!
