    book review

    I bought this book because it was recommended by a friend who know the author. It is also about an area in Maryland that is quite diverse and I was curious as to how the writer described the area, the people etc. I am an aspiring writer who wants to read more black writers so this took care of all these things. I am enjoying the book immensely and I will probably get more titles by this author at another time.

    fast fun read. the characters could have been given more depth; many of the are cliched and stereotypical--the hussy, the bourgie, the strong black woman, the hippie white girl, etc, etc. but is is what it is. recommend.
