Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

  • Hard to Find Books

After having watched a biography about Marion Davies, I thought it would be interesting to read her version of events, so I began looking for a copy of her book (The Times We Had). Of course it was out of print, so I immediately turned to Ebay because I knew that if any source had a copy of an obscure book, they would. And I was right! However, the book was a little of a disappointment. This was partly due to the shallow nature of the topic covered and the desire of the author not to embarrass anyone by revealing unpleasant aspects of their lives. But on the whole, it was like reading a very long and interesting tabloid magazine involving and a list of who's who in Old Hollywood. I'm glad I read it, but I wouldn't put it on my list of favorite books to re-read. Hope this helps!

  • The Times We Had by Marion Davies

The book is so unintentionally funny because Marion Davies keeps lying about her age, at one point so ludicris because she'd have had to be only five years old when she was dancing in a chorus line! Otherwise it's historically accurate and very interesting. I love history and decided to read about some of America's instead of England's Kings and Queens. It's also plain to see that Citizen Kane was not about W.H.Hearst, Orson Welles even tells that to the readers in the forward. I love it!

  • The Times We had by Marian Davies

It really gives you an insight to the way the wealthy lived and acted in that era. Very interested reading, quick read, about 8th grade level. Enjoyed the book and the photos were grand, so many you really could see how they lived. It is a "must read" for anyone interested in the early days of silent screen stars and the Hearst castle.
